Mindhacks - What are they?

"A mindhack is a visual representation of how a specific person thinks, or how a specific behavior develops."

Mindhacking, developed by Mr. Twenty Twenty (yes that is his real name) is based in his pursuit of accurately noticing how people think, and what actually drives their behavior.

In the Stop Smoking Mindhack video, you can see how he mindhacks, and how he develops powerful distinctions that can help a client to quit smoking permanently or stop smoking at will.

Mindhacks are extremely effective at changing behavior, because literally, "a picture is worth a thousand words", and breaking out the dynamics of human behavior VISUALLY makes change much more easy, immediate, and lasting.

The Stop Smoking Mind Hack - Power Points

In this mind hack video, Mr. Twenty Twenty shares a number very simple and powerful distinctions that can help you to quit smoking.

1. Most people don't understand that there is a substancial difference in the thinking that drives someone to smoke and what drives someone to quit smoking.

2. Once you learn the difference in those two kinds of thinking - as seen in this mindhack video - you can start to take the steps needed to effectively stop smoking.

3. Breaking any habit that is built on the structure you see in this video becomes so much easier, once you stop beating yourself up. This mindhack helps you to stop beating youself up, because you gain an understanding on WHY you do what you do, and what to do about it.

Terms in the Video:

Visual: Thinking in pictures or movies.

Auditory: Thinking in words or sounds.

Kinesthetic: Actually FEELING sensation. Touch something and feel.

Emotions: Are not the same as sensations. Emotions are auditory playing in the realm of sensation. An emotion is "happy". A sensation is "pressure", "rough", "smooth".

Very interesting stuff. All of reality is a perception. It's all about changing your perception in order to change your reality. Thanks for sharing. This concept has MANY applications it can be used for.

I agree with KCC...this could be applied to many other behaviors. Good first hub.
